“The systems thinking masterclass helped me understand the iceberg model which emphasises the role of mental models in the way they create society and how they need to change to improve the way society functions. It will help me think better about the world and add value to internal processes of my organisation as well as to the projects on which I consult.”

"Shakti's masterclass is an excellent channel to develop a holistic perspective on systems thinking and mapping. Anyone seeking an introduction to the concept and its application, with a view to building a platform for a deeper dive will undoubtedly benefit from the experience. Shakti has carefully curated material in the form of pre-reads, and in-class case studies, videos, and interactive group discussions. In addition, practical home-assignments between sessions serve as reflection and revision tools. This blended pedagogy provides for absorbing relevant principles at a steady state, yet consistent pace for participants who may also have other full-time commitments.Appreciating systems thinking can help us grasp the interconnectedness of our world, and frame problems and their potential solutions more effectively. The perspectives gained through the masterclass can serve as valuable tools in our day-to-day workings as well as the larger social and business challenges we may be seeking to address."

"The masterclass provided a summary of different types of systems and some of the different approaches to understanding them. It also dealt with how we use mental maps and the iceberg model, to understand and react to situations and events. It particularly provided a good introduction to DSRP approach developed by the Cabreras at Cornell. Shakti provided a number of system maps. We had small group sessions in which we worked with others to develop a mind map of a problem we were interested in, using the Plectica mapping software. This was both useful and enjoyable."

"I got interested in Systems Thinking after reading a post by Shakti. So, when I saw a workshop designed by Shakti on the same, immediately signed. And it was completely worth it. In a short span of three hours, Shakti introduced and through use cases provided holistic understanding of what systems thinking is. It is indeed a 'whole'-some way of looking at any situation and finding a comprehensive solution in a structured way. Thank you Shakti for the much useful workshop."

"Overall I enjoyed the masterclass. One thing might have been done differently was having at least one session of the issue to be discussed with you Shakti and then having a refined discussion on the second day so that we could have gone a bit deeper."

"I always thought of a system in the form of a mechanical structure. The two sessions made me realize that it is more than that. So many factors condition our minds in understanding the system, plus the whole is in the parts and parts form the whole."

"I enjoyed the masterclass a lot! It provided me with novel perspectives on familiar issues and became a pathway to better understanding complex problems in a holistic manner. I particularly enjoyed using the frameworks provided by the class to solve issues of my own interest, and the tools provided here can equip me to make a larger impact in my field of work later."

"The masterclass was very comprehensive and supported by a lot of diverse case studies, that gave me a sense of understanding a larger perspective of a situation. For breakout sessions, superb reading materials were provided to get an in-depth understanding of the problem area at hand. Thank you Shakti Saranji for providing this wonderful opportunity to participate and learn. Thank you."

"I was surprised by the depth of the study, especially after having been familiar with the topic. Containing the focus of the group is difficult because of the wide variety of experience that the students bring but Shakti is well qualified to do this. It is critical that we learn theory and apply to our work and by doing it as a team project during a class is an ideal way to learn. I am grateful for Shakti's passion in not just the subject, but his genuine care for the people who are there to learn."

"The masterclass was superb! Time well spent! I was particularly impressed by the structure of the course and how it can resonate well with any audience of varying competencies in Systems Thinking (ST). Shakti himself is a brilliant trainer with good knowledge of the wide spectrum of ST approaches. In the masterclass he provided the planned content and yet kept it engaging. More importantly for me, it was a new door open to good companions in this journey!”
