Nature Cools what could be more natural?

Nature Cools is a three-fold effort: to stop the damage being done, to restore the biological systems of plants to a healthy state, and to assist in the regeneration of these systems into a far-future state of life. It will take all of these approaches to achieve the vision of a healthy planet on which our great grandchildren depend.
Students will bring their own issues and projects to the table which the group will work on. Nature-based Solutions are at the core of these sessions, and deciding on which will be best suited for the student’s bioregion will be the output of this class.
Revegetation takes many forms, and can be implemented at many levels: personal space, neighbourhood, shared common spaces and regional assets (wetlands, grasslands, forests, etc.).
By working with a holistic mindset, acknowledging that mature forests, woodlands, grasslands and the like all work in concert with one another, we will bring as many different habitats into health as is necessary for a diverse and functioning ecosystem. By seeing the need for plants to provide us with so much more than food, nesting or cover for insects, birds and animals, we will bring forth the concepts of carbon storage and the neglected provisioning of water, clouds and moisture overall.
A showcase project for any community can be the Miyawaki miniforest, and although this is a subject all its own, we will introduce the possibility of an installation for anyone who would like to bring this to their community.
