What we will cover
This workshop will examine how these tipping points behave — not in isolation, but as forces that ripple across a dozen other planetary systems whose full complexity we cannot know, only observe through behavior. After defining these tipping points, we will turn to what we can do: the positive, meaningful actions available to bring these systems back into balance. We will fill in the concepts of tipping points, trigger points, nudge behaviors, social contagion, and more — whether your work sits in the Social, Environmental, or Economic sphere (Socio-Environomics!). Case studies will show where the most positive difference can be made in your own bioregion — water conservation and rainwater capture and reuse, reducing carbon emissions from machinery, or protecting mature woodland, wetland, grassland, or rain forest from ecocide.
